In 1980 the first Rosine’s Restaurant was opened by Jim and Rosine Culcasi and their four children, in Monterey, California. The restaurant was an instant success and all the family shared in the work, from cooking and baking to serving and greeting. Rosine’s established a reputation with satisfied customers who enjoyed the delicious homemade soups, hearty meals, homemade fresh pies and sumptuous array of delicious, homemade, award-winning cakes.
After five years, they relocated to the current location in downtown Monterey which they are now celebrating over 29 successful years and have been voted ‘Best Family Restaurant’ for 19 years and ‘Best Desserts’ for 18 years! Jim Culcasi Jr.,CEO, now controls the entire operation with his sister Annette Culcasi-Ivers.
